SCHOOL holidays are here, and with them comes the return of the Minions to Nu Metro The Glen – along with two other new movie releases.
Despicable Me 3 (PG V)
The mischievous Minions hope that Gru will return to a life of crime after the new boss of the Anti-Villain League fires him. Instead, Gru decides to remain retired and travel to Freedonia to meet his long-lost twin brother for the first time. The reunited siblings soon find themselves in an uneasy alliance to take down the elusive Balthazar Bratt, a former 1980s child star who seeks revenge against the world. Despicable Me 3 is the latest blockbuster in the popular animated franchise, and is now showing in the Xtreme cinema at Nu Metro The Glen – boasting powerful, 360-degree Auro sound (including overhead speaker effects), along with crystal clear RealD 3D projection on one of the city’s biggest screens.

All Eyez On Me (16 DLPV)
The true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur proves that legends never die. The film follows Shakur from his early days in New York City to his evolution into one of the world’s most recognised and influential voices – before his untimely death at the age of 25. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mindset propelled him to become a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his passing.

The Outcasts (10-12PG V)
Geek versus chic is the theme here. Let the revolution begin in this new teen comedy! After falling victim to a humiliating prank by the high school Queen Bee, Jodi and her best friend Mindy plot their revenge by uniting all of the school’s outcasts to overthrow the cruel reign of the popular clique once and for all. But in a tale of ‘be careful what you wish for’, a taste of power gets the better of all of them, nearly ruining Jodi and Mindy’s friendship and threatening to sabotage Jodi’s budding romance with Dave.
