Methodists plan Youth Carnival for June 16

Local vendors will be selling exciting products to the youth and there will be a big entertainment line-up.

THE Alberton Methodist Church will be celebrating Youth Day (June 16) with their very own Youth Carnival.

The event will take place from 10am and 4pm at the church, located at the corner of Ascot and Heidelberg Roads, New Market. Local vendors will be selling exciting items to the youth and there will be a big entertainment line-up. This will include live music, dancing, fire dancing, fairground rides, puppet shows, archery, soccer and a car show.

Special guest appearances are also in store – from the Knight Rider to Spongebob Squarepants and Hello Kitty, you can expect to see something for everybody. A special something for the dads will include a potjiekos competition, which will keep them entertained while the kids are at play.

In addition to these exciting attractions, the newly formed Alberton Methodist Drama Ministry will be performing their first ever improvised theatre show. The team for this performance ranges in age from five to 18 years and will perform the show based on suggestions made by the audience.
