GAMERS everywhere have been anxiously awaiting the release of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which starts showing at Nu Metro The Glen in 3D on Friday, February 3.
This new science fiction action-horror film was written and directed by Paul W S Anderson and is the sequel to Resident Evil: Retribution (2012); it is also the sixth and final instalment in the Resident Evil film series. This wildly popular cult cinema phenomenon is loosely based on the Capcom survival horror video game series “Resident Evil”.
Picking up immediately after the events in the previous film, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.
This kickass action-horror also stars Ali Larter, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, William Levy and Iain Glen.
Resident Evil-fans won’t be disappointed by this finale in the series – it delivers on all fronts with gruesome zombies, edge-of-your-seats action, mind-blowing special effects and a suspenseful story which rockets forth at the speed of light. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter is the ultimate epilogue to one of cinema’s longest running “based on the video game” film series.
