X-MEN: Apocalypse started showing at all Nu Metro Cinemas nationwide on Friday, May 20. It will screen in the Scene Xtreme cinema at Nu Metro The Glen, featuring world-class Dolby 7.1 sound along with superior picture quality (courtesy of RealD’s large-format Precision White Screen technology for sharper digital 3D projection).
The film will also be showing in Nu Metro’s standard 3D and 2D cinemas – as well as Scene VIP, for those who prefer Nu Metro’s “1st Class” cinema option.
X-Men: Apocalypse sees the return of the director (Bryan Singer) and most of the cast from X-Men: Days of Future Past – the previous film in the X-Men movie franchise. It stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne, amongst others.
Since the dawn of civilisation, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from this world, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it, and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto, to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which Apocalypse will reign.
As the fate of the earth hangs in the balance, Raven, with the help of Professor X, must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
