It is hot and humid and if you are pregnant, you will find yourself a lot more uncomfortable and hotter than those around you.

Here are 6 simple tips to get you through the day:

Stay Indoors – Avoid direct sunlight. Pregnant women burn faster.

Exercise indoors – take a walk in the mall.

Damp a face cloth on your neck – This will keep your body temperature down.

Swim – Water aerobics is great for pregnancy and is therapeutic for both you and your baby.

Wear loose clothing – This will assist in preventing heat rash under your breasts and abdomen.

Keep hydrated – Other than water, drink electrolyte filled drinks, fruit juice and milk.
