Halloween fun

Tickets for Halloween are available at the gate and on Computicket priced R100 for adults and R60 for pensioners and kids between the ages of four and twelve.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – DSTV channel, Nicklodeon, is brewing up a great big cauldron of fun and surprises for children and families at the annual Halloween celebration at Johannesburg Zoo, on Saturday, October 31.

There will be a feast of silly, spooky Halloween activities awaiting children and families as they pass through the bright orange entrance. Gates open from 10:00 in the morning and the zoo will be transformed into a magical Halloween wonderland for the day.

Prepare to sing-a-long with some of Nickelodeon’s favourites, including SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer. Also, for the first time ever, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be be flexing their muscles and showcasing their ninja skills.

More Halloween themed fun includes a movie screening of “Liar, Liar Vampire”, haunted zones, clowns, stilt walkers, balloon sculptures and face painting.

To keep everyone on the right track, each child will get a helpful map with directions to all the activities, plus a goody bucket to fill with Halloween treats.

Due to construction work at the Johannesburg Zoo upper parking lot, visitors are asked to use the Military Museum (Erlswold Way) and Saxonwold Primary as alternative parking. Shuttles will be available from Saxonwold Primary and Zoo Lake.
