JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – A Mulbarton resident is making waves in the entertainment industry with his catchy tunes that have landed him guest appearances as a singer on Musiek Roulette and Noot vir Noot.

Granville Michaels is a singer, song writer, actor and dancer who before going solo started out as a member of the 90’s gospel outfit Enco’Rage.

He has been featured on shows including Gospel Gold, Weakest Link Bambanani, Toasty Show and the Felicia Mabuza-Suttle show.

“I have been a full-time artist since 1998 and started off as a lead singer in Barnyard Theatre shows. During 2013, I decided to start doing more corporate functions and weddings, and I currently have built up a good clientele who regularly employs me for their functions. I have been living in Mulbarton for the past 6 years,” said Michaels.

In his career he has performed with numerous bands and worked for a theatre company for almost 12 years. He’s also performed a Micheal Jackson tribute show at the Windmill Casino and starred in Roll over Beethoven I and II, Glory Days, Dancing Queen, 60’s Revolution, Rock me Amadeus, One Night Only, Final Countdown and Absolute 80’s.

This local singing star has a knack for acting which has scored him roles in several local soapies.

“I’ve received acting roles in 7de Laan as a police officer, in Isidingo as Benito and in Generations as a young doctor,” added Michaels.
