Gareth Cliff set to host TV breakfast show
Ex 5fm radio host Gareth Cliff’s new live pan-African TV show is set to debut on Comedy Central on 1 May.
JOHANNESBURG – According to reports, the breakfast show will feature calls, live interviews and a cheeky sideways look at the day’s news stories from Cliff’s new CliffCentral.com project.
The project is made possible by the help of his regular team which includes Damon Kalvari, Leigh-Ann Mol, Mabale Moloi and Siya Sangweni-Fynn.
EWN reported, “Cliff says with the dramatic changes in the broadcast landscape in a relatively short period of time, people are already listening to radio everywhere except on the radio, with online being the frontrunner.”
He was quoted as saying, “The partnership is an opportunity to uncover fresh local content in a way that has never been done before in South Africa – reality radio!”
The show will be aired live every Monday to Friday as well as on comedycentralafrica.com and on cliffcentral.com.
