*Wonderful gift from hospital. Baby Alexis Tiffany van der Walt was born at Netcare Mulbarton Hospital’s maternity wing on Wednesday August 28 and as her mommy, Ilana said, “The birth cost was a gift from the hospital.”
*Ride to save a baby. Door of hop is encourage bike riders to join their team to join the ride the Momentum 94.7 cycle Challenge on Sunday November 17.
*Sweet talk for wow. Bee keeper, Hennie van der Merwe, was the guest speaker at women of worth’s (WOW) August meeting.
*Illegal house party shut down. Resident in Bassonia were shocked and up in arms when at least on thousands youngsters arrived at Mount Pellan Dive, Bassonia on Saturday afternoon, August 31.
*SOJO celebrates its 15th birthday and AGM. SOJO’s annual general Meeting and 15th birthday celebration was held on Wednesday August 28 at Johannesburg Expo Centre, Nasrec.
*Linmeyer scout hall burnt down. The scout hall in Sophie Street, Linmeyer burnt down on Saturday evening September 7.
