St Declan’s School for Boys sporting teams

The boy learners played cricket, mini-cricket, rugby and soccer and ran cross-country to showcase their sporting capabilities.

St Declan’s School for Boys, located off 101 Swartkoppies Road, saw its learners participate in various sporting codes. The aim is to keep the learners fit and allow them to explore various sports.

The learners participated in cricket, mini-cricket, rugby, soccer and cross-country.

Cricket (first team performance):

St Declan’s vs Etwatwa

St Declan’s: 176/10 in 42 overs. Rahiel Morar: 40 runs.

Etwatwa: 134/10 in 23 overs. Sipesihle Mabuya took three wickets, while Caelan Boucher took four.
St Declan’s won by 42 runs.

Mini-cricket for St Declan’s grades One and Two:

The little ones were also part of the fun. The grades One and Two boys participated in mini-cricket and won all their games.

Cross-country:

Leaners Aviwe Lutshaba and Landen Tromp represented St Declan’s at the districts held in Boksburg.

Soccer:

The school’s boys’ U16 soccer team won the Independent Soccer Schools League 2-0 to upset Saheti School, which conceded the loss.
