Soccer tournament to honour Sihle Mtshali

Southerners are urged to bring their teams in numbers.

Sibonelo ‘Pastor’ Mtshali has yet again opened a door for U20 teams to battle it out for R4 000 and kits.

Teams are invited to Sihle Mtshali Top 16 tournament in Lawley, South of Joburg, on August 5 to 13. The tournament aims to bring young people together from all walks of life.

It also seeks to create a platform where they can express their talent while being watched by multitudes.

Msthali said, “In Lawley, we are a community that loves football. We even go to other townships just to watch football. In honour of my late brother, who loved football I thought let me do something of this nature.”

Teams from different areas are invited to participate as this tournament has special prizes.

Winners take home R4 000, kit, trophy and medals while runners-up take R1 000, kit and medals.

Individual trophies: player of the tournament, goalkeeper of the tournament and player’s player of the tournament.
