WATCH: Ward 119 community urged to continue support good initiatives

TRN appreciated the commitment shown by every stakeholder.

Team Recreational Naturena (TRN) hosted the June 16 Winter Games for the Naturena community in Ward 119.

The games aimed to unite the community against crime and drug abuse. On behalf of TRN, Nceba Ndube thanked Ward 119 residents and the help of the supporting structure.

“We thank those who honoured the games and those who, for some reason, couldn’t. To all the teams that participated, you proved to be the best. To those who were negative, we apologise for disappointing you. We will have better luck next time, but unfortunately, not this time because this tournament was a success and will only grow bigger.

“To our ward councillor Lindani Thobile Zondo, as always, you came through for us. To Eldos FM, we are grateful to you for giving us exposure and the medals you donated. Thank you. Devland Pharmacy. We give it to you for the most crucial part you played. Your contribution and donation left an everlasting memory in our community of Ward 119.

“Most of all, we congratulate the winners in soccer Tender Boys from Naturena and the community. Together, we can curb crime and substance abuse through sports and recreation.

“It is time we, as a community of Ward 119, hold hands together. Let us all take charge and ownership of our streets and pave the way for our youth to become future leaders and responsible citizens,” he said.
