WIN a #UltimateHydration with Thirsti hamper

South Africa’s sports sponsorship space will experience #UltimateHydration with Thirsti in full support of selected sports come 2021 and beyond.

Having commenced production in 2015, the natural spring water brand known and loved as Thirsti, will throw its weight behind all things sport come 2021 and beyond.

While the Covid-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down, the sports sponsorship space finds itself ‘thirsti’ for an exciting and innovative brand that represents health, hard work, passion and an undisputed love of South African sport.

Four years post penetrating the market with the iconic still and sparkling water ranges, Thirsti released the ultimate sports drink, Isofit+, with the bold Thirsti flavours range adding to that this year.

Thirsti managing director Rob Hoatson elaborated on the Klein Drakensberg mountain spring water adding: “The source is in Normandien, and the water that comes out of that mountain is exceptional in its composition with a high pH of 8.9, and total dissolved solids of 217.

“This means it is rich in natural minerals that are supportive in getting the best into your body when you hydrate. When you compete, you require both hydration and re-hydration, both of which are covered by our products.

“South Africans are known for loving life – a ‘Carpe Diem’ type of attitude and passion. Our athletes take it one step further with their determination, obsession and patriotism for the podium finish.

“For this reason, we decided to focus on event sponsorships across multiple sporting codes, commencing in 2019 when we became the hydration partner to both the Comrades Marathon as well as The Sharks rugby team. “Added to that will be the Absa Cape Epic, Maritzburg College bursaries and a host of community-driven initiatives that aim to support the tomorrow within our home province.”

Each sponsorship spans three years and will be leveraged by way of product sampling, promotions and giveaways, athlete appearances, event presence and the full bouquet of the traditional marketing mix components.

“It’s important that South Africans know that Thirsti is a brand that is proud of its people, their health and their goals. Covid-19 has changed the landscape, bringing with it immense challenges, but we remain optimistic and choose to partner with such properties in this time of need. Let’s grow together,” said Hoatson.

“We believe that our sponsorship portfolio, with so much more to come in 2021 and beyond, paints this picture while ensuring that our brand remains top of mind in hydration. We want people to experience Thirsti in the spaces where they are living and loving life.”
