Kaizer Chiefs midfielders depart

Midfielders from Kaizer Chiefs departed the club.

Three midfielders from local-based Premier Soccer League (PSL) club Kaizer Chiefs departed the club.

Kabelo Mahlasela, Joseph Molangoane and George Maluleka have parted ways with the Amakhosi and will now join other clubs.

Mahlasela joined the club in 2018 as an attacking midfielder and spent the last six months on loan at Polokwane City. The 32-year old Molangoane started at Chiefs in 2016 and his contract was extended from 2019 to June 30, 2020.

Maluleka joined the local side in 2014 and was part of the double cup winning team in 2015. He will join Mamelodi Sundowns.

Football manager Bobby Motuang said, “We thank the players for their service. This is how football changes, the dynamic change and we have to accept that change is part of the game. I can only wish the players all the best in their future endeavours.”
