National medals for JKA South students

Fifteen of the students who competed at the SAJKA National Championship were awarded national colours.

THE SAJKA National Championship held at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena is one of the largest karate tournaments in South Africa with more than 3 000 entries.

Twenty eight students from JKA South Bassonia represented SAJKA Gauteng at the event and brought home 22 medals with 15 of them being awarded SAJKA National Colours.

The students all train under the watchful eye of senior instructors Bruce Smith (7th dan), Gert Aucamp (6th dan) and Karyn Smith (5th dan).
