KwaMahlobo Games ready to get going

KwaMahlobo Games to commence over the weekend.

THE 2018/2019 edition of the KwaMahlobo Games will commence over the weekend where some 40 clubs from all over the country compete for the coveted branding rights.

The tournament kicks off on December 19, with the final scheduled for January 5.

The KwaMahlobo Games started back in 1996 and feature 40 teams and four women’s teams.

The 2018/19 draw of the KwaMahlobo Games recently took place and the teams were placed in eight groups for the play-offs where after the semi-finals and finals will take place in January.

South African Football Association partners with and LaLiga sponsor the games while the City of Johannesburg and Gauteng province are also involved.

Among those who attended the draw were LaLiga Africa director Antonio Barradas, Bafana Bafana legend Doctor Khumalo, Neil Tovey and Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation Faith Mazibuko.
