COMPETITION: Win tickets to watch Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns

A NEW era will dawn when the official Shell Helix Ultra Cup kicks off on July 21 at FNB Stadium.

The inaugural Shell Helix Ultra Cup will be played between two of the soccer giants in South Africa, current Premier Soccer League, PSL, champions Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club and local side, Kaizer Chiefs.

The historic match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns will be played on Saturday at FNB Stadium.

The match will start at 3pm and the gates will open at 11am.

Shell Helix Ultra Cup will provide the extra pre-season excitement for the fans of both teams as well as to give the respective coaches, Pitso Mosimane from MSFC and Amakhosi’s new coach, who will be named in the next few days, a chance to give their new signings and current players the chance to display their skills before the official PSL season starts in August.

Stadium Management South Africa, SMSA, Jacques Grobbelaar said, “The Shell Helix Ultra Cup’s planning is in progress and spectators are urged to educate themselves regarding ticketing for both the match and parking. Spectators are the most important role-players in an event of this magnitude because they ultimately assist us by following the processes and laws we put in place. We use this strict ticketing system with help from our partners at all events, Computicket, to eliminate criminal activities in and around the stadium precinct. All tickets now have new security features that cannot be cloned or copied. We’ve had great success and have reduced the number of criminal activities on match-days because illegal tickets can easily be identified and confiscated.”

Tickets can be purchased from Computicket stores or at any outlets such as Shoprite, Checkers, Checkers Hyper, House and Home, selected OK Furniture and Usave stores. Spectators are urged to purchase their match and parking tickets together to avoid match day traffic congestion. Tickets will not be sold at FNB Stadium on match-day, and unticketed members of the public are warned not to come to the stadium precinct.

Supporters who wish to attend the event are requested to take arrive early and use public transport to avoid gridlock traffic on the day.
