The Vodacom Durban July attracts around 55 000 horse racing fans from all over the country to attend at Greyville Racecourse annually to enjoy a day of glitz, glamour and of course magnificent Thoroughbred racehorses. But this is the event of the year – be it from a social perspective, if you are passionate about horseracing and last, but certainly not least, the fashion.
The theme this year – “It Is Time” – has caused some anguish among the students who will be taking part in the Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Award, but for the self-professed gurus out there, and the outfits that we have seen across the country at the various horseracing events in recent months we don’t think this is a tall order at all.
Racing. It’s A Rush wants to give their followers some inspiration for the competition currently underway, which ends on June 30, whereby you are invited to send in a photo via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter of what you would be wearing on July 7, including #ItsARush and #MyVDJstyle in the posts.

The hottest outfit will win a VIP package which will include flights, accommodation, transfers to and from the airport/hotel/race track and the best seats in the house to be witness to the most exciting event on the social calendar. It will be a prerequisite to make a long weekend of it and book July 6 off as this is when the experience will start.
