Catholic community in 5km fun run/walk on June 9

Have fun and run for the church community.

ST. JOHN Paul II Catholic community fund-raising committee will be hosting a 5km fun run/walk on June 9 at the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve on Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park.

The church currently utilises the Marist Brothers Linmeyer school hall for their Sunday morning services, as they are in the process of raising funds to build their own church in Rispark, where land has already been purchased for this project.

Held under the theme ‘Neon Nature’, runners are expected to start at 9am while walkers will begin at 9.15am.

Pre-registrations, as the most preferred method for the event, can be done via email on comms@stjpii.co.za by no later than June 6. Registrations on the day begin at 8am and end at 8.45am.

The event fee for adults is pegged at R50 while children are charged R25 per person and all children under six will participate for free.

Food and refreshments will be on sale with spot prizes and entertainment for non-participants. For further details contact Cathy Leong 082 452 1855.
