The FNB Varsity Cup semi-finals spots have been taken up by the top four teams and they will do battle on April 2.
FNB NWU will take on FNB UJ at 4.30pm at Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds while FNB Maties will come up against FNB Wits at 7pm at Danie Craven Stadium on the same day.
In the meantime, round nine of the Varsity Cup was concluded and the results were as follows:
Dobela stars in the FNB CUT thrashing
FNB Shimlas flyhalf Lubabalo Dobela scored 24 points in the home side’s 69-33 victory over FNB CUT in the Bloemfontein derby.
Scintillating stalemate between FNB NWU and FNB Maties
It was a battle for the top of the log on March 26, when FNB NWU took on FNB Maties at the Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds.
Although the game ended in a draw, it was FNB Maties who had more to smile about when they secured the home final. The final score was 33-33 for the two universities.
FNB UP-Tuks run rampant against FNB Madibaz
FNB UP-Tuks crossed the try line 11 times as they smashed FNB Madibaz 82-21 in their final match of the 2018 Varsity Cup at the Tuks Rugby Stadium on Monday evening.
