Enter now and children stand a chance to win sunglasses

Enter the kids' Polaroid sunglasses competition.

THE benefits of outdoor play for children are well known; it encourages physical activity, helps develop learning by absorbing new information and skills, promotes creativity and imaginative play and even in winter, being outside in the sun means they are getting enough vitamin D. One of the lesser known benefits of being outdoors is that it promotes healthy eyes and vision.

But it’s also important to protect children’s eyes from harmful UV rays. We are all familiar with the dangers of not protecting our skin against the sun, but not many of us know the harmful effects of UV rays to our eyes.

Zelda van Coller Optometrists, Dynamic Vision in Alberton offers a wide range of UV protected kids’ sunglasses this summer and is giving one lucky reader a chance to win. The winner will receive a pair of children’s Polaroid sunglasses to the value of R435.
