Help create a safe place for babies by supporting Joshua House and its golf day on November 30.
JOSHUA House is calling on all businesses and players to support its golf day to be held at Reading Golf Club in Alberton on November 30. Joshua House is also looking for hole and prize sponsors and also players to join in on the day.
It costs R425 per person for the golf day including dinner. It costs R1 700 per four-ball, four-ball alliance – two scores to count. All sponsored holes include a free four-ball and there will be raffles, auctions and prizes on the day.

Joshua House is a baby’s home that serves as a temporary place of safety for babies that have been orphaned due to various circumstances, abandoned due to unplanned pregnancies, poverty or legally relinquished for adoption.
Joshua House offers a protected environment for babies from newborns to two years old. Babies are legally placed at Joshua House by a registered child protection organisation. The babies remain at the house pending the legal and medical assessment process to find the best possible placement option for the baby.
This permanency plan would either be reunification with their families, adoption or foster care and a legal alternative to unsafe infant abandonment. Joshua House offers emotional stability, medical and nutritional care all within a warm, nurturing environment.
“The mission is to have a powerful, loving and positive impact on their lives pending their permanent placement. They remain with us for a period of between eight months to three years. We love nothing more than to see our babies placed with their new ‘forever’ mommy and daddy (or single parent),” read a statement from Joshua House.
Joshua House relies solely on donations, both in the way of finances and consumables and prays for people to make a difference in the lives of babies by contributing financially.
If you can assist with any of the following it would be much appreciated:
– Monthly/once-off financial donations.
– Volunteering your time or professional services (example dentist, optician, garden service, creche sponsorship for our toddlers etc.)
– A monthly contribution of consumables (example formula, Lactogen 1, 2 and 3, nappies, purity, baby toiletries, groceries and cleaning products). Donate your unwanted goods like clothing, furniture, appliances, shoes and so on. Anything the house can’t use will be used to raise funds for the babies’ needs at the monthly jumble sale.
