Waterstone College hosts football coaching clinic

Athletes appreciated the motivation and the training sessions.

WATERSTONE College hosted a coaching clinic for boys and girls between the ages of 12 and 14 on August 11.

The clinic was facilitated by Football Association instructor and head of youth coaching at West Bromwich, Ryan Hayes. He is also a former coach at Glasgow Rangers and Chelsea FC.

Dave Lawrence, who is responsible for the strategic direction of the sports development team and overlooks girls football at the West Bromwich Academy, and Kiren Hayes, the youth development phase lead coach at Oxford United FC and head of academy recruitment, assisted with skills development at the clinic and encouraged all aspiring players.

Athletes appreciated the motivation and the training sessions. The day was well supported and definitely one to remember.
