CENTRAL Gauteng Athletics will be hosting a league meeting of the season at University of Johannesburg Athletics Stadium, UJ Athletics Stadium Auckland Park, over the weekend.
The League will take place on February 18, commencing at 13:00.
The UJ Athletics Stadium was revamped about two years ago and is one of the most beautiful athletics tracks in the province . The stadium has produced a number of international athletes.
The Track and Field Commission is delighted to host its meeting at the venue and is hoping for fast times and great performances from the athletes.
With a focus and building up to the provincial and national championships, athletes will be gearing up and exhibiting exceptional performance in the quest to be selected to represent the province at the South African National Championships. They also stand a chance to represent South Africa at various international championships, such as the 2017 World Championships, to be held in London later this year.
