Family fun at OCT event at Thaba Trails

First OCR for schools in the South.

A SUCCESSFUL obstacle course race in the South was hosted by the Obstacle Course Training Centre (OCT) which calls Thaba Trails home.

The event was held on August 27 and 28, and OCT South brought back the fun for all age categories.

This race was the first for the South and was an enjoyable experience, with DJs, food stalls, a beer garden and many other activities.

This was also the first OCR race for schools. OCT South has been coaching Dalmondeor Primary School learners for the last few months and, on Sunday, August 28, learners’ friends and families could witness what they were made of.

Many parents were thrilled to see their youngsters display such strength, coordination and, most importantly, teamwork.

Gerhard Potgieter, principal of Dalmondeor Primary, could not be more proud of his learners.

Training centre owner Rudi Delport said this was truly a goosebump moment to witness and he could not have been prouder of each and every youngster. OCT South is in the process of recruiting other schools to participate in an inter-school event.

Schools are more than welcome to make contact with Rudi in this regard.

Obstacle course racing was rated the fastest growing sport in 2015, and the centre is glad to be part of this activity. OCT South received phenomenal ratings from participants and plans are underway for the next event on December 10.

Now is the time to get out to OCT South, to prepare physically and mentally for the next challenge.
