Pit Bull powerlifters on target

Pit Bull gym brought back home a handful of medals.

MEMBERS of the Pit Bull gymnasium did exceptionally well at the nationals, bringing home medals.

The RPC National Powerlifting Championship 2016 was held at the George Campbell School of Technology in Durban from June 17 to 18.

The Pit Bull team under the watchful eye of coach Colin du Bruyn had the following results at the nationals:

Colin du Bruyn placed first in the Masters 1 – 125kg division, breaking the national bench press record.

Cor du Bruyn won the 82,5kg Master 6 division.

Martin Nel lifted in the 82,5kg Open division and got eight of nine lifts.

Kobus Bester improved his own Sub-Master Deadlift record and placed third in the Open class.

Morgan Mabunda 100kg division deadlifted a personal best of 250kg.

Keaton le Roux 110kg Teen 2 division received a first place.
