Rythmic gymnastics: Novice championships

CENTRAL Gauteng Rhythmic Gymnastics recently held their annual Novice Championships at Wits University.

Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics entered 28 gymnasts of which 17 qualified for provincial colours and qualified to represent Central Gauteng at the Novice Inter-Provincial Championships on June 16.

The following results were outstanding on June 16 at the Novice Inter-Provincial championship.

Level 1:

Mbali Farr (u.6) – third free dance, first rope and first overall.

Alyssa Rugg (u.6) – fifth free dance, seventh rope and fifth overall.

Hannah Okoh (u.10) – eight free dance, fifth rope and sixth overall.

Aaralyn Muttitt (u.11) – first free dance, third rope and first overall.

Danica Dreyer (u.11) – second free dance, fifth rope and third overall.

Cete’ny Schultz (over 11) – third free dance, second rope and third overall.

Level 2:

Zinhle Lamula (u.7) – sixth hoop, sixth ball and sixth overall.

Classes are held at the Klipriviersberg Recreational Centre at Peggy Vera Road in Kibler Park. Aspiring gymnasts aged four and up are welcome to visit the centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 15:00 to 18:00.
