UNION Bulldogs first team played the University of Johannesburg at their home ground on Saturday, May 7, and were totally outclassed by the students.
The two teams met in a Pirates Grand Challenge league match at Klipriversberg Recreation Centre, the new premises of Union.
The UJ team, who also featured in this year’s Varsity Cup, dominated play in both halves and the Union Bulldogs team, who are currently rebuilding their teams and club, suffered a record loss against the students from UJ.
Union Bulldogs next home fixture will take place on Friday, May 20, against Wits University, who just gained Varsity Cup status. Wits recently played in the Varsity Shield competition and will now move to the Varsity Cup.
All support is needed for the home team at Klipriversberg Recreation Centre. Matches will start at 18:00.
