KIMBERLEY: Kimberley High boys stand with their coaches in readiness for their matches at the Waterstone Sports Festival.
WATERSTONE College recently held their annual sports festival over three days that saw 1 100 learners from over 24 different schools come together to participate in several sports including soccer, netball, tennis and hockey. The sports festival took place from Friday, April 8, to Sunday, April 10, and welcomed parents and the public to enjoy a weekend of fun, sport and good company.
The college also hosted a public speaking competition at the school on Saturday, April 9.
The final results from the sports festival are as follows:
Boys hockey: Helpmekaar beat KES second 3-1;
Girls hockey: Maragon defeated Brebner High School 7-0 in the final;
U-13 soccer: Reddam House took the top honours against Brebner Primary School, winning 2-1;
U-19 soccer: Waterstone College triumphed 3-0 against Glenvista High School;
U-19 netball: Waterstone College, the home team, beat Reddam House 29-16;
U-13 netball: Final played between Waterstone College and Southdowns College – Southdowns won 9-8;
U-15 netball: St Stithians won 25-13 against Curro Aurora.
