Joburg’s Prawn Festival, coming to Turffontein Racecourse on Saturday February 27, is the first leg of the Triple Crown series for Gauteng and promises to be a great day out at the races.

Racegoers can enjoy half a kilogram of prawns for R85, including chips, rice and a selection of sauces, while enjoying riveting horseracing at the same time.

Gates open at 11:00, entrance is free and children’s entertainment is plentiful.

The Triple Crown, which takes Gauteng into its Autumn season, includes the Betting World Guineas race day on Saturday, the Classic Day on April 2l and Champions Day on April 30.

Fully inclusive packages are also available. Book and pay for all three legs of Triple Crown before the February 28.
