This year was a very successful year for JKA South Bassonia students and instructors when they were awarded Dan grades at the SA JKA National Dan Grading.
Grading was conducted under the auspices of JKA Japan with Sensei’s Mori and Okumi in attendance.
Jesse Shepstone, Darren Elliott, Jamie-Lee Kallman, Nashreen Kai, were all awarded Shodan (first Dan), Paige Stopforth and Rorisang Pule were awarded Nidan (second Dan) and Molefi Lebone was awarded Sandan (third Dan).
Instructors Karyn Smith and Derrick Bell were awarded Godan (fifth Dan), Gert Aucamp was awarded Rokudan (sixth Dan) and Bruce Smith was awarded Nanadan (seventh Dan).
