BUNDU bashing enthusiasts are gearing up for the Weekend Warrior 4X4 trail scheduled for November 28 and 29 at Rust De Winter, just 100km north of Pretoria.
The 4X4 trail will start in the bushveld with sandy tracks that wind through several gorges, valleys, mountain passes and trails en-route to the campsite situated on the highest outcrop in the area and overlooking a range of valleys.
The convoy leaves in the morning following a different route down the valleys, crossing streams before arriving back at the 4×4 ATV camp site around noon. The trail proceeds through the famous lover’s lane which is a water-formed gorge through alluvial rock. Certificates will be issued by the trail master to all drivers who complete the trail that covers approximately 80km.
The trail is not dangerous if drivers follow the advice of the tour guides.
A maximum of 15 vehicles will be allowed. The cost of the trail is R550 per vehicle with a maximum of four persons.
