Big day arrive for Lions at their Den

The local team from Johannesburg has prepared for this onslaught from the Capetonians.

Working hard on and off the field will culminate in a Absa Currie Cup final for two of the best teams in South African rugby.

The finals of the Absa Currie Cup will take place on Saturday October 24 at Emirates Airlines Park when Xerox Golden Lions will face DHL Western Province.

DHL Western province will have their hands full defending their title which they snatched up in 2014 in Cape Town beating the Xerox Golden Lions.
However the local team from Johannesburg has prepared for this onslaught from the Capetonians.

DHL Western Province shows three changes to the starting line-up for the Absa Currie Cup final taking place at 13:45.
Xerox Golden Lions made their own changes which includes Robbie Coetzee who will start at hooker with Malcolm Marx moving to the bench, Kwagga Smith will wear the number seven jersey while Stephan de Witt takes up a seat on the bench and in the last change RohanJanse van Rensburg and StokkiesHanekom will swop places with the latter moving to the bench.

Three finals will take place on Saturday. The programme for the day is as follows:
08:30 Gates open
9:30 U.19 final: Blue Bulls vs Eastern Province
11:15 U.21 final: Western Province vs Free State
13:45 Absa Currie Cup final
17:00 Springboks vs New Zealand (Big Screen)
