Big sixes and more expected in the Momentum ODI series

Hold on to your wickets, the Momentum ODI domestic series is here.

JOHANNESBURG – The 2015/2016 Momentum One Day Cup season will kick-off on Friday, October 9, at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

The opening weekend will start with the Centurion day/night match between The Unlimited Titans and Warriors.

Another day/night match on Saturday, October 10, at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, will see the bizhub Highveld Lions take to the field against the Cape Cobras.

The opening weekend will be completed by a day match between the Sunfoil Dolphins and the VKB Knights at the Pietermaritzburg Oval on Sunday, October 11.

The Titans are the defending champions, having beaten the Cobras by five wickets in last season’s Newlands final. It was one of the best limited overs finals at franchise level, producing nearly 600 runs, including outstanding centuries by three Proteas, Richard Levi for the Cobras, and Dean Elgar and Albie Morkel for the Titans.

Now in its fourth season as the official sponsor, Momentum, along with CSA, are re-focusing their attention on improving match attendance with innovative ways to add value and enhance fan engagement.

Research has been undertaken to find out what keeps fans away and more importantly what would entice fans and entire families to enjoy domestic matches.

Momentum facilitated 24 000 tickets last season and this year Momentum and CSA are hoping to at least double those figures and boost match attendance.

Tickets start from R30 and are available at the hosting stadiums and www.ticketpro.co.za
