Nissan Easter Festival highlights

Nissan Easter Festival is set to be better than ever with all systems in place.

NOW in its sixth year the Nissan Easter Festival is set to be better than ever, with all systems in place for a pleasurable and professional ten-day horse show including dressage, driving and show jumping.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that this event is set to reach new heights in terms of both entertainment and horsemanship. We strongly encourage everyone to join us,” said Chairman of Kyalami Equestrian Park Clem dos Santos.

The show runs from March 28 to April 6, with free entrance and plenty of fun for the whole family.

Over the years the show has incorporated a host of other activities, such as Lipizzaner displays at the gala evenings, dog shows, vaulting and western riding. Such non-stop action sees more than 10 000 people attend the show at the show grounds.

Easter is family time, which is why the show has catered for all ages throughout the event, including activities such as the Nissan Test Drive station, a Nissan kids zone and a variety of food and market stalls.

The pinnacle and highlight of this show is the Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix, hosted this year on Monday April 6 in the Bob Charter arena at 14:00.

It’s the top 24 riders who will compete in this final event, with an estimated six to eight riders qualifying for the jump-off.

Show highlights include:

Saturday April 4:

– 1.10m – 1.50m show jumping

– Nissan speed and 4 bar event

Sunday April 5:

– 1.10m and 1.35m Championships

– Nissan 6 bar competition

Monday April 6:

– 1.40 Championships

– Junior Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix

– 1.50 Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix
