BOX Office Gym and Southern Suburbs embark on a yearlong programme to present one boxing event per month, and on Friday March 13 will be the launch of Friday Night Fights.
Ten fights will be pre-matched with boxers from Southern Suburbs Boxing Club and boxers from other Johannesburg clubs. Suburbs recently graded 21 fighters and have ten highly skilled fighters who need exposure to prepare them once they turn professional.
Some of the boxers are Troy da Paiva, Joel dos Santos, Warren le Roux, Tino Perestrelo and some of the new fledgling fighters from Gilmores’ development gym in Hillbrow. Altogether 100 people will get the chance to watch these events with the usual fanfare of food, beverages and entertainment.
Entrance is R50. Fights start at 19:30.
