The R1million hole-in-one golf shootout competition was announced at the launch.

MOMENTUM and its wellness and rewards programme, Multiply, have partnered with golf and cycling speciality interest company, MoreCorp in a deal that offers co-naming, branding and media rights across several MoreCorp properties, as well as a roll-out of discounts to Multiply members.

The launch took place on Thursday July 31 at World of Golf, Woodmead, where numerous well known sporting personalities tried their luck on the tee-off in order to be eligible for the R1million prize which is on offer.

The R1million hole-in-one golf-shootout competition was announced at the launch. Known as the Momentum Million Rand Challenge, the prize will be R1million in the form of a suitable Momentum investment, in line with the financial needs of the winner. The full value of the prize is inestimable, as it will increase in value over time.

Danie van den Bergh, head of Brand at Momentum, said, “We have made a conscious decision to put clients and their needs at the centre of all we do. Enhancing the financial wellness of South Africans is what we are all about and the core focus of the advice and product solutions we provide. With the chance of winning R1million on the table, we see this as an ideal opportunity for us to engage with clients and to introduce more people to Momentum and what we stand for as a company.”

“Momentum has proven itself a world-class health and financial wellness entity that we are exceptionally proud to be associated with,” said Joint MoreCorp MD Darryl Egdes. “The dynamic Momentum and Multiply leadership teams are customer-centric and embrace cutting edge technology; values that MoreCorp share and aspire to. We are confident that we will enjoy a lasting and mutually beneficial partnership with Momentum and Multiply, improving the lives of all our customers in a socially responsible manner.”

The Momentum Million Rand Challenge, which is open to everyone, will take place on the first Saturday of every month from 09:00 to 12:00, starting from August 2 and it will run for the next 12 months at the Momentum World of Golf in Woodmead and at the five other Momentum Golf Villages across the country, Centurion, Gilloolys, Kenilworth, Somerset West and Tyger Valley.

Every hole-in-one will qualify for an entry into the final shootout for the R1million.

Head of Multiply Jaco Oosthuizen said: “We are constantly on the lookout for partners who share our aspirations and are able to offer our members value on offerings of worthwhile interest. Both cycling and golf are actively healthy pursuits that can be enjoyed by everyone; men and women, young and old and especially families together. Multiply wants to make golf and cycling more affordable to South Africans. We are pleased that we have found a partner that can help our members enjoy these activities for less.”
