Stern warning to spectators for Carling Cup

TICKET ALERT: Gauteng Traffic has issued a stern warning to the spectators who will go out and support their favourite team at the 2014 Carling Black Label Cup between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

GAUTENG Traffic has issued a stern warning to the spectators who will go out and support their favourite team at the 2014 Carling Black Label Cup between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The local derby will take place on Saturday July 26. The two local sides will take each other on in the fourth edition of the Carling Black Label Cup. Kick-off time is 15:00.

“We will not hesitate to turn the spectators without a parking ticket away,” said AB Nxumalo from the Gauteng Department of Community Safety. “If the motorists don’t have a ticket, they will be shown away at the first point of the perimeter.”

Road closures will start at 09:00 around the FNB Stadium. At the first perimeter, motorists will be stopped in order to show their parking ticket if they are on their way to FNB Stadium.

Fans are urged to make use of public transport such as Rea Vaya Bus Rapid Transit System (BRT) or Metro trains which go to FNB Stadium. There is also some of the official taxis the fans can make use of.

“We urge all spectators to help us with this aspect to ease congestion in the transport around the stadium,” said Nxumalo.

Stadium management also ask spectators to come with their tickets, which were bought at an official outlet. All tickets for the events are sold out and none are sold at FNB Stadium.
