Giants join Charity Showdown

The pre-season inaugural Charity Showdown, will take place today at Bidvest Wits.

The specially selected panel of soccer experts: Former Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns Goalkeeper Brian Baloyi, former Bafana Bafana, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Wits University attacking midfielder Stanton Fredericks, former Bafana Bafana Assistant Coach , u.20 National coach and Bloemfontein Celtic Head Coach Khabo Zondo who will give in-depth analysis of tha matches played at Bidvest Wits.

The kick-off time for the first match is 09:00.

The inaugural tournament is a battle between Premier Soccer League giants Bloemfontein Celtic, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Bidvest Wits and AmaZulu. Proceeds from the tournament will go to The Lunchbox Fund, a nationwide charity that feeds impoverished school children in townships and rural dwellings. Only R2.50 feeds one child per day.

If you do not have your ticket yet, do not despair as tickets will now be available at the gates at the same price, R40. Yes for only R40 you get loads of soccer action. In the spirit of children, the full day Showdown will have an exclusive Family Fun Zone that will entertain family members of all ages. The Bidvest Stadium in Braamfontein has ample space for all this.

10:00: Bloemfontein Celtic Vs Bidvest Wits

12:00: Mpumalanga Aces vs Amazulu FC

14:00: Semi-finals

18:00: Finals
