The Varsity Sports Athletics first fixture took place in Port Elizabeth in March, and now sees the follow-up at the University of Johannesburg in Gauteng on April 14. Upcoming fixtures will be on April 21 at the Stellenbosch University and April 28 at the University of Pretoria.
The event offers an exciting avenue for students and university teams to compete. Furthermore, this competition encourages supporters from the respective campuses to cheer on their team members who are enjoying a fit and healthy lifestyle.
This year’s events promise to be entertaining both on and off the field, with Wimpy sponsoring various prizes during the competition, such as the Koshuis Relay and the Wimpy Records prizes, for those track stars achieving new heights.
