New Bafana Bafana jersey unveiled
The South African national football team will don an all-white limited edition away kit for the 2014 season.
JOHANNESBURG – Nike revealed the South African national team kit in which Bafana Bafana will take to the pitch, in their international friendly against Brazil on March 5 in Johannesburg.
The new limited edition away kit features a simplistic yet classic design. The all-white jersey boasts the SAFA logo and Protea emblem on either side of the chest, while the South African flag sits proudly on the outer back of the neck. White shorts and socks complete the look.
The jersey is made with Nike Dri-FIT technology, which aids performance by helping to regulate player body temperature over the course of a match, while pulling moisture away from the skin to the outside of the garment, where it evaporates more quickly.
The new kit is exclusively available to the South African Football Association’s (SAFA) national team structures until December 2014. Nike and SAFA will unveil the 2015-2016 kit in November 2014, with an assortment of supporter-wear available from early January 2015.
