Double fight force

Fight Force will be the last big boxing tournament of the year.

Double IBO champions Tommy Oosthuizen and Hekkie Budler will to make their appearance in the ring for the last time this year.

Fight Force will be presented by Golden Gloves Promotions in conjunction with Emperors Palace on Saturday November 9 at Emperors Palace. This will be the last big boxing event for the year concluding a bumper year of boxing. Still to come will be Jeff Ellis Christmas Cracker Box ‘n Dine in December and a few smaller events.

The IBO super-middleweight champion, Tommy Oosthuizen and IBO minimum weight, Hekkie Budler, are main draw cards on the Golden Gloves boxing tournament.

Three Hot-Box stablemates will be in action on the night. Budler, while also featuring is hot-shot lightweight prospect Adam De Moor, and Asheley Dlamini. Budler fights Hugo Verchelli of Argentina for the WBA interim championship. De Moor opposition will be announced as Zan Jonker pulled out of the tournament.

“We are training hard for these fight,” said trainer Colin Nathan, “We don’t expect an easy fight for Hekkie and they will come with their best game, so we will be prepared.”

Nathan isn’t buying into the prevailing view that this will be an easy fight for Budler, notwithstanding his rating as the number one strawweight in the world.

Nathan also said that Dlamini and De Moor were training up a storm, both with the intention of making major statements.
“I am fit and willing to defend my title with all I have,” said Oosthuizen. His trainer Harold Volbrecht said that this is a very important fight for Oosthuizen and that they will face stiff opposition on the evening as everyone wants to have the title.
