MTN Golden Lions wants to keep their momentum for the semi's

“We would like to start building up momentum for the semi-finals on Saturday,” said head coach Johan Ackermann.

“We will have to focus on Saturday before we will think of any other games. It is a very important fixture we can’t just sqay we are going to brush away Griquas. They are a very difficult team to play against.”
“We want to pick up the win and then will think about bonus points before we do anything else,” said MTN Golden Lions captain Derick Minnie.
“They have a lot of players that are good and we can’t say we going to get bonus points to secure a better placing on the log.”

In the forwards, Jacques van Rooyen moves in to the starting side at loosehead. Willie Wepener is also promoted from the bench at hooker and Julian Redelinghuys will start at tighthead. Franco van der Merwe returns at lock after his stint with the Springboks, while Warwick Tecklenburg will start at six.

The backline changes see Andries Coetzee shift to inside centre and Chrysander Botha switch to fullback. Deon Helberg will start on the wing as he is promoted to the starting line-up.

Meanwhile, new inclusions on the wood, Bees Roux and Lambert Groenewald, will provide cover for the forwards.
