LETTER: Cllr Crichton urges members of Ward 56 to submit comments

The deadline is at 5:00pm on Monday, May 29.

I am devastated to inform you that at the presentation of the IDP Budget last night not a single Capital Budget item was allocated for Ward 56 for the next financial year!

This is unacceptable as Ward 56 consists of good rate-paying citizens who face a multitude of challenges! One has to ask when will the Forest Hill water tower receive the Budget for the much-needed upgrade it needs to take the regular and constant water outages?

When will our electricity infrastructure receive the budget to tackle the regular power outages? Some of our roads are in bad need of resurfacing.

The list goes on and on! I am therefore pleading with all affected residents to submit their comments to idpcomments2023@joburg.org.za with specific things that you would like to see be done in the Ward and/or your area.

Copied me in on the email (Michael@ward56jhbsouth.co.za) so that you have proof that you submitted your comments. The deadline is the 29th of May 2023 by 17h00.

The draft rates were also tabled and you can submit your comments to ratescomments2023@joburg.org.za. The deadline is the same as the IDP comments.

You can also send comments online.

Please let us all stand together and submit as many comments as possible pertaining to Ward 56!

Regards,

Cllr Michael Crichton
