My husband Peter and I wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and huge appreciation to the most wonderful team at Southern Plumbing for their extreme kindness to us.
Dad Grant, Sons Logan and Kellan and Edward, the assistant plumber, came to our rescue in regard to our geyser problems. We had a very nasty experience with a well-known plumbing firm that sent a team to attend to our problem which was abnormal quantities of water leakage from the geyser overflow pipe overextended hours.
We paid them for the job which included a replacement part, vacuum breaker, which according to them was the cause of the problem and they said the geyser was now fine.
Four hours later the heavy water loss continued and upon insisting that a more experienced person from their team come to check on the situation he declared that the problem was in fact a burst geyser and would quote us the next day on a replacement.
Nothing more was heard from them the next day and by late morning I decided to contact Southern Plumbing.
It so happened that it took three days for the erring plumbing firm to phone through a quote for a replacement geyser.
This even after having timeously communicated to them that a replacement geyser had been installed.
Logan from Southern Pluming came immediately to our home, inspected and confirmed a burst geyser.
No replacement parts should have been issued for a repair as it was very evident that this geyser had burst.
He spoke to his Dad, Grant, who said he would provide us with a second hand geyser, which is perfectly sound and has no problems, for free. Plus free installation.
Grant insisted that the geyser be installed the same day to enable us as elderly pensioners to have hot water by evening. He said he would arrange for Logan’s other commitments for the day to be taken care of by his brother Kellan to enable him to do the job for us.
This kindness and empathy is absolutely amazing. You don’t find people like this in the world any more! We don’t have enough words to thank the Southern Plumbing team, especially in these hard and difficult days with businesses facing so many financial challenges due to the Covid-19.
We pray that they will be greatly blessed for their wonderful kindness and generosity to us.
