Resident asks for forgiveness after sharing fake news

I made a mistake by not making sure if it was true or not.

I hereby want to publicly apologise to the South Rand Hospital, Moffat View CPF Sector 1 and SAPS for the false information about coronavirus given to me by a church friend.

I made a mistake by not making sure if it was true or not before making it public. I hereby apologise publicly and have learnt not to trust anyone or any information given to me via WhatsApp, please accept my deepest apology.

It all happened on April 5 just before the new rules and regulations came into effect.

NB: The Courier spoke to Phafudi Molapo, South Rand Hospital spokesperson and he confirmed that this is fake news as there is no Covid-19 cases at the hospital.
