I live in a complex in Glenvista. Communal living means exactly that.
When living in a complex you are not living in a stand alone house, you are living among other people and need to think and behave in such manner.
On December 21, I was sitting waiting for a programme to come on. At around midnight my cat jumped up. She is is my alarm. I looked around and there was a teenage boy at my door insisting I open he needed to charge his phone.
I explained more than three times I was not prepared to open my door to anyone that time of night.
I then asked how he managed to get inside the complex. His reply was someone opened.
Why would a teenage boy be walking the streets at night with a need to charge his phone?
I have no idea what disaster was averted but we honestly need to consider others when living in a complex.
Please, in the pursuit of safety think before you open.
