Farewell my dear friends – Jo Polmeer

Thank you to everyone who has been with me keeping fit, I can honestly say you are like chorus girls now.

I’ve been taking my Senior Fitness classes for seven years and it is with a heavy heart I have to say farewell to all the ladies, who have most definitely become my friends.

There are about 40 members who attend the classes twice a week, sometimes a few less but one thing is for sure, we all have a fantastic time keeping fit.

I began my classes at the Brackenhurst Library, advancing to St Paul’s Church and then Revival City, ending here at the Rietvlei Zoo Farm because of the growth of the group.

Thank you to everyone who has been with me keeping fit, I can honestly say you are like chorus girls now. Thank you for all your love and support and attending the classes, even though sometimes you didn’t feel up to it. It’s been a wonderful seven years.

GOODBYES ARE HARD: Jo Polmeer (front, far right) with some of her ladies from her keep-fit class.

To Anton Blom who will be taking over the classes, all the best of luck. I’m sure you’ll enjoy every minute. These ladies have a terrific sense of humour and will keep you on your toes for sure.

I’m going to miss you all like crazy.

Jo Polmeer
