This Christmas will be a difficult one for many residents who live in the South of Joburg, with many families in need.
Do you have good clean clothing that you would like to donate and maybe a toy or two? We are also looking for food parcels for families of four – if the families have six or more people, we would then donate two hampers to them.
We’ll be feeding 550 seniors in the South and it’s a mammoth task, but with help from the community we can do it! Many of these people generally don’t have employment and some are disabled. We help everyone from babies to seniors and connect with charities which assist others in the South.
Many schools are also in need of stationery for their new intake next year. Some parents won’t be able to afford school stationery and every little thing will be a great help.
We are also appealing to companies to assist at this time of the year. If you don’t have money but would like to volunteer your time, contact churches, schools and charities in your area to assist them – you can make a huge difference in the lives of the needy. Please contact me on 071 355 0426 if you have any queries.
