What a mess

It makes the purchase experience very unpleasant, to the point that you do not want to go to these lower stores at all.

I am really very disappointed in Comaro Crossing. It has been an eyesore for some time and the motto states, “Value convenience.” Not!

It has been under continual construction. If you attempt to access any of the stores on the lower level, you have to walk through rubble and squeeze through narrow passages.

It makes the purchase experience very unpleasant, to the point that you do not want to go to these lower stores at all.

The lifts do not work, nor do they state “Do not work”, and the staircases that were there have been removed. Then you have go to the far end, to Pick n Pay to access the only staircase available. It comes to a dead end, but you can squeeze through the railing and wall to get to the long passage to get to Meat World and some of the other stores.

Jack’s Paint, Marshall Music, the bedding place and Meat World are surely upset about this. They have carried the property’s name well through your good times. I trust you are carrying them during your bad times, as it is affecting them.

There is also very limited access for disabled people to access the stores.

I do understand that you are in the process of an upgrade, but I believe you should put a public notice in the local paper and billboard apologising for this inconvenience.

Comment from Zandré van den Berg, Portfolio Manager, Comaro Crossing:

We have received your email regarding your concerns and would like to take the opportunity to give you some feedback.

The Comaro Crossing team is in the process of finalising signage around the centre to address the redevelopment as well as communicate stores still trading, with specific focus on the lower-level stores. Please note that there will be a sign at the entrance on Boundary Road that states “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.” The redevelopment is managed by Betts Townsend.

We will share the progress of the redevelopment on the Comaro Crossing Facebook page. Thank you for taking time to express your thoughts, as this enables us to improve the shopping experience for everyone.
